- Yes. Three of a kind beats two pair. It is in turn beaten by a straight, a flush, a full house and everything above them.
- What is the difference between a set and trips?
- Both are three of a kind. A 'set' is a pocket pair plus one matching board card; 'trips' is one hole card plus a pair on the board. Same ranking, different way of making it.
