Read it with care

A money list adds up cashes; it does not subtract buy-ins. A player who enters twenty $100,000 events a year can top it while breaking even, and most high-stakes players sell part of their action, so the cash isn't all theirs. It still says something real: to cash this much you have to go deep, again and again, against the best fields in the game.

Common questions

Who has won the most money in poker tournaments?
Bryn Kenney, with about $90.8M in live tournament winnings as of August 2026. Stephen Chidwick is second with $79.9M and Jason Koon third with $77.0M.
Does the money list show how much a player has profited?
No. It adds up tournament cashes and ignores buy-ins, so it overstates profit β€” often by a lot for players who play $100,000-plus high rollers, where a single buy-in can exceed most players' lifetime winnings. Players also sell pieces of their action to backers, so a cash isn't all theirs. It is a measure of results, not of income.
Does the all-time money list include online poker?
No. This list, like the Hendon Mob's, counts live tournaments only. Online tournament winnings and cash-game profits aren't included.
Who is the top non-American on the all-time money list?
Stephen Chidwick of United Kingdom, with $79.9M β€” No. 2 overall.
