Vera Richmond wins the $1,000 Ace-to-Five Draw β generally cited as the first woman to win an open WSOP event.
1995
Barbara Enright finishes fifth in the Main Event, the first woman to reach its final table. A year later her third bracelet makes her the first woman with three.
2002
Kathy Liebert wins the first Party Poker Million and $1,000,000.
2004
Annie Duke wins the invitational WSOP Tournament of Champions, a winner-take-all $2,000,000 prize (not a bracelet event), and a bracelet in Omaha Hi-Lo the same year.
2006
Victoria Coren wins EPT London, the first woman to win a European Poker Tour main event.
2007
Barbara Enright becomes the first woman in the Poker Hall of Fame. In September, Annette Obrestad wins the first WSOP Europe Main Event a day before turning 19 β still the youngest bracelet winner.
2010
Liv Boeree wins EPT San Remo and β¬1,250,000.
2014
Vanessa Selbst becomes the first β and so far only β woman to reach No. 1 in the Global Poker Index. Victoria Coren Mitchell wins EPT Sanremo, the first player of either sex to win two EPT main events.
2025
Leo Margets finishes seventh in the Main Event for $1,500,000, the second woman ever at its final table.
2026
Kristen Foxen wins a sixth bracelet, twice as many as any other woman; a record 431 women enter the Main Event, about 4.7% of the field.
